For all the Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman fans out there...

Next year there is going to be a convention held for Meat Loaf fans, both die hard Loafers and newer fans.

It is timed to coincide with Meat's birthday and the release of Bat Out Of Hell III, the reunion of Loaf and Steinman, which brought us Bat I and Bat II.

It will be in Adelaide, South Australia (at this stage, if we get more people from another state, it can and may be transferred to another city).

Are there any Meat or Jim fans out there that would like to attend?
It will be a charity fundraiser at this stage; the organizing committee is still waiting on Meat Loaf to tell us which charity to donate the proceeds to.

The cost for tickets will be very low (and the more people who attend, the lower it will be) and is only being charged to recoup expenses.

Please, go and look, and tell us what you think on our forum. We will be showing movies, concerts, having live performances, trivia, fair day, a birthday party and Meatloafaoke. It's going to be awesome (and that's a term I use rarely).

Just to let you know, we have been given approval to go ahead by management. But we have been advised that in no way does Meat Loaf or his management endorse or are anyway involved in the organization of this event.

Just limbering up for the World Record attempt.  All the Meatventions are hoping to link up to sing BOOH simultaneously to set the record for the most Loafers singing it at once.  What a hoot!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF IT'S COMING TO NEW JERSEY, USA.  I NEED TO SEE HIM AGAIN.  WISH YOU COULD HAVE GONE TRUDY TO TOMS RIVER FEST.  WOULD HAVE LOVE TO HAVE YOU THEIR WHEN HE ALMOST LOST HIS PANTS.

Sorry, Chris, but Meatvention is purely us Loafers getting together in celebration of the great man.  He definitely won't be with us in person, although I believe he's doing a whistlestop promo visit in early September.


Aussieloaf will be with us too!  He calls himself "Meat's Evil Twin" and he does a mean tribute show.
