Tink, Tink, Tink! And all this time, I thought you were an intelligent being. Barry Manilow. You might have mentioned that David Cassidy did the original, and the best version of that song.

nice to know i had you FOOLED Rockie !!...hehehehe.. and now ..see..you've taught me sumtink.. i dint know or perhaps didn't remember about DC.. as in my time.. i was quite the DC fan !!.. saw him once in concert you know... but that was long ago and far away.. when gillies were still fainting in the aisles for him...  i do know however.. as ironic that it tis.. i  believe that Barry Manilow.. though he sang he did.. he did NOT write the song this time around...i'd have to cheat and google to see who did... lol...

Don't bother Googling - I have the facts at my fingertips!! Brucie Johnston wrote "I Write the Songs" FOR D.C. I can't believe I have five D.C. albums in my possession. hee hee.(www.davidcassidy.com is a handy site, btw!)
