A kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste

I love this song, it is so true.
Meat Sings it brilliantly
When I see him sing it in "Storytellers" - I go weak at the knees, it really touches my heart

I really like this song now that I understand what it's about. This is the only song of Meats, that I ever had trouble figuring out the meaning of. Once I heard Meat explain it somewhere, that it is about a guy who is dying and all the things he wished he'd done.. I totally get it now, and think it's wonderful.   J.

Yes, the Storytellers version of this is my absolute favorite- and to think that they left if off of the CD! Whats up with that?  I love the first few lines on the DVD, when Meat closes his eyes and even seems to shudder a bit.  Oy, even thinking about it makes me weak in the knees, to borrow a phrase.  Oh and the "tire tracks and broken hearts" bit- the first time I heard the song I thought that section seemed out of place, but now I love it.  I used to think that the
"tire tracks" lines referred to a man who sort of had a "love 'em and leave 'em" attitude, but taken in the context of a dying man, it is absolutely heartbreaking.  Shucks, theres a good excuse to get the DVD out tonight and watch it again!
