Glad you got the CD. I preordered the DVD, but not the CD and now I'm kickin' my ass, that I didn't preorder it as well, because none of the stores around here have it in yet. So, I'm going to order it online and not even bother looking all over the place for it, besides I am aching to hear it.

Hi tink! Yes I DID hear about Howie going to satellite - not for almost a year and a half though - I've heard of Air America and looked into it at one point (there was someone I wanted to hear; can't remember who now - it may have been one of the people you mention), and think I found that I could subscribe to it for $10/mo or something like that.

lol about Rick and his cold hose - he wasn't kidding about the "heavy breathing in the states" :))))) (I would only add "and Canada") :))) The DVD is absolutely fantastic - you will love it - would you belive however, I haven't quite finished watching it for the first time??? I've been totally preoccupied with my little girl (Duster) who has been diagnosed with kidney failure, and she has (had?) an infection also. Last Thursday the vet put her on an I.V. for dehydration and gave her an antibiotic as well. For a few days she couldn't eat or drink more than a mite at a time so I was offering her food & water round the clock. She is a little better (eating and drinking again, though still not enough) and in about half an hour I'm taking her to the vet again to learn how to do an I.V. at home, if needed, once or twice a week the vet said. All of this put me pretty much into a tailspin but now I'm concentrating on giving her all the love I have in me (plus a little besides). :)))

Ohio has recovered more or less - Martin Sheen was here though, about 2 miles south of my house, and I didn't know about it until after the fact. (for good reason I'm sure - he wanted to chat up some students, not get mobbed by fans)

I just saw a commercial on TV last night and thought of you - they were saying sign up for satellite radio for $12.95 a month and the satellite is free - maybe watch for that - PF would be glad :)))

She is feeling much better so maybe your tossing up shouts helped :))))) Yesterday the vet showed me how to do her fluids - it's not technically an I.V. after all - it's a Subcutaneous Drip. Cats have a space under their skin from which they can gradually absorb fluids you put there, which is safer and easier on her (and me!) than having to hit a vein. Although I did it wrong in the vet's office and punched all the way through and out the other side of her skin (ack!!!) But Duster forgave me and licked my hand, and I think I will be able to do it right next time, when I need to (probably in about 3-4 days). Maybe this is more than you wanted to know, lol. I'm not at all crazy about needles myself, but this is my baby girl. Anyway, she's eating better, and I gave her an oral dose of an amoxycillin suspension this morning (bubble-gum flavored!!! - probably not developed for cats, lol!) The vet wanted to get through to me that this is incurable and irreversable, and it's just a matter of time. So I'll do everything I can for her as long as she's enjoying life, even a little.

From what you say, it sounds like you suspect your computer has picked up some malware. The Ohio State Univ. "safe computing" page has this:

So, I went to download.com to see what they had, and downloaded and ran the two most popular programs (Ad-Aware SE Personal and SpyBot Search and Destroy 1.5) with no problems or ill effects. (I wouldn't want to recommend you try something without having tried it myself). I have read repeatedly that versions of Internet Explorer previous to what comes with Windows XP are very, very vulnerable to spyware. Anyway, I just thought maybe you'd want to give one of them a try.

I also found a site that gives directions for backing up your Outlook Express e-mail files, but if you can't access them you probably can't back them up (if you want the address, tell me)

How have you been? I hope "Out There" isn't too terrible these days. We all miss you on the ROL list, and I am getting dangerously close to cleaning house if you don't come back soon :))))

ta for all the info..i'll be checking back for it once i'm online againe.. pouter is off for repair.. wingers crossed.. seems i may have picked up some sort of virus.. very confusing to the gent trying to recoup all... may have to reformat the hard drive.. there will go all me pix and emailies..etc..but as i said.. i started with naught and have no worries of gaily traipsing about the internet to make yet another collection of loverly Boss pix......

ya know..it's not that i didn't know to protect meself...poor Dame always advising me..but .. me thinking my pouter invulnerable.. but there ya go.. paying the price ..learning the hard way.. like i'd know anuther.. ..

Good to hear from you, but sad that you have to be at the office on saturdays.

And yes, the list is in a bad need off kwaff and firt jokes! LOL :))) Glad you got to see the "Peter Pan" movie, I thought you would really like how Tink was portrayed in it. :)) Btw, the new movie "Return To Neverland" or "Back to Neverland" ? Is getting good reviews from the critics, and it should be out soon. So there's another PP movie for you to look forward to Tink. :))

Glad to hear that everyone in the Tinker hut is well. As for PG and myself, nothing much going on.. same ole, same ole, which is good. Oh, one fairly new thing... I enrolled myself and Brandy in Agility course training a few weeks ago, and it's quite fun.

Hi tink! I just got home - sorry you had to work today, I thought maybe your 'pute was all fixed and you were posting from home, sorry that's not the case. I hope they fix it for you soon, and then, you know what they say: backup, backup, backup, lol!

I still think it's wonderful to have a "work kitty", fixed or not :))) My kitty is doing all right, amazingly enough, since a month ago I thought I was going to lose her. I haven't gotten an uninterrupted night's sleep since this started (she has to eat during the night) but I'm adapting. I'm better with the needle than I was, too. Tuesday she goes in to have another blood sample taken. They're always wanting a urine sample - which I get by following her upstairs with a ziplock bag and putting it under her tail - she looks at me like, "Are you nuts???" I think she's gained a couple ounces, but I'll find out for sure on Tuesday. The vet bills are loads of fun. For one prescription, they cut the pills into thirds and charged me a dollar for each piece :)))

Well, that's all that's new with me. Looking forward to having you back on the list :))

I know exactly what you mean about FCOL and the
DVD .. no matter how many times I've watched it now, it's like I'm seeing it for
the very first time. It's absolutely amazing ... Meat should be very proud. And
just reading your post and knowing that I was able to help give you the chance
to see it (with the DVD player) really makes me feel good !! As far as what's
new ... well, nothing much except for this :

I've had to wait almost 4 months
since the auction ended .. but finally seeing it framed like this ... it's been
worth every second
