Since ROL was set up we've presented Meat with annual yearbooks, which give an outline of what's been going on in his republic, his adventures as President etc. He's signed artwork, and of course the master Citizen Registration Certificate, which was wonderful. He's also signed quite a few "created" photos of him with our little bats .. usually with a grin playing around his mouth
This year I was due to meet him in Sheffield but he wasn't feeling well enough to attend the M&G, so I sent some stuff through to him, including the front cover of the special ROL calendar I made for myself, Vicki and tink. I wanted to take a copy of the calendar but my printer died, so a friend just printed off the front, and I'd intended to ask him to sign it.
To our amazement we found out that he had liked it enough to have it included in the collage of treasured photos in his official Tour Programme for Australia and New Zealand. So here it is as it's seen in the programme .. a wonderful and gracious endorsement of what we do, and a huge honour. If anyone wants a copy of the picture email me :) It's a bit late to put that calendar on the site now .. but if you're interested let me know. I shall have to rework it though for anyone in the USA as it's sized for International A4 paper, but if enough people want it I will do that. If you just want the cover, let me know whether you are in USA/Canada or elsewhere :)

That's really great Caryl - I'm so pleased that all your hard work (and Vicky and tink's) has been rewarded in the best possible way you could imagine (well, barr meeting Meat I suppose) - best wishes.
...thanks to Dame Caryl and Shane in NZ... i was able to get a copy of the program into me hot little tinkerhands.. and let me tell you.. to hear about it is one thing.. to see a scanned photo..yet another.. but to have the reality of it.. right there.. looking at it.. was SUCH a thrill... really.. i'm so unbelievably THRILLED.. only word i can really think of.. lol.. for the Dame... Vicki... the site.. and all the loverly citizens of the Republic...

I've heard from a fairly reliable source, that Meat has continued to keep this ROL calendar pic, in the tourbook, for the new "Hair of The Dog", tour as well. How wonderful is that??
