Happy Wednesdays peoples .. and hope you had good Tuesdays :)

Well .. what stared out as a not very promising day weather-wise has turned into a glorious afternoon. Yesterday was warm and heavy, and we had rain in the evening, followed by showers this morning .. but I've just spent the afternoon pottering about in the garden in wonderful sunshine.

Yesterday I did one of those "catch up on some essentials" from a number of stores .. to find that several of the essentials have been discontinued :( .. drives me mad when something that does the job perfectly is withdrawn because they say there isn't the demand .. and the reason I tend to buy them in bulk has been precisely because they're so often sold out!

Made an orange drizzle cake this morning .. lemon drizzle is a standard so thought .. why not orange? And it's delicious .. just test drove a small piece .. and now it's packed away in a tin for visitors .. lol .. out of sight out of mind :)

And Himself skittered into a wee flurry of tweets last night .. so that was a welcome start to the day ..  Funny he had Justin Hawkins there as only yesterday I was watching a re-run from Top Gear (a programme about cars .. but amusing and watchable as the 3 presenters just get excited driving high performance cars in a welter of schoolboy testosterone, and "test" the cars by improbable things like trying to outrun a group of soldiers in tanks firing ammo, or racing the car round a huge estuary against some bloke in a wetsuit struggling across the estuary at low tide, up to his armpits in mud .. quite daft but entertaining to watch) ..

Each programme they put a "star in a reasonably priced car" and after some coaching from their tame anonymous racing driver, the guest does a lap round their circuit. On this episode the star was Justin .. and what pricked my ears and lifted my eyes from the crossword was hearing "Meat Loaf" .. because Justin was talking about the time he toured with Meat, saying what a nice guy he is :) .. and then this am .. there he is with Meat in a tweet at Rob Cavallo's house :)

Anyway .. good to know Meat's still twittering .. in between working hard on the album :))

So I guess right now it's ..

Seize the equipment .. the Boss is in session!! :)
