Happy Mondays one and all .. today it's an overcast and just a bit cool start to the day .. as we've had for several days now .. but every day that's developed into a beautiful day so hopefully today will follow the rule ..
Yesterday we went to this huge carboot sale which runs every Sunday .. got two nice cake tins for 20 pence, a cookery book (I had it many years ago but lost it), I love for 50p, a crystal vase for 60p, and some beautiful cherries from a fruit stall .. then on to a sweet little pub for lunch .. and back home to sit in the sun in the garden. We also went to look at a show flat in a new development just down the road from me .. just out of curiosity. Nice finish inside, but the bedrooms are tiny .. and the show home (a three bedroom like I have, although mine is on two floors like a duplex) is half a million!!!! And that's pounds sterling! No wonder they've been trying to sell these flats for two years and have only two sold and being lived in ..
Today we're off to Bakewell market, then on to Monsal Head which has just about the best view .. and then to see some well dressings .. a traditional Derbyshire thing, where they erect these huge plaques made of fresh flower petals pressed into clay like a mosaic to give thanks for fresh water all year from the well and bless it for the coming year. Real works of art and so lovely ..

Yes he certainly is Caryl. Sounds like you had a nice day and got lots of bargains. Wow those flats are expensive, and they wonder why they won't sell for that price, especially the way the economy is at the moment. Carole
I'm sore from all the work outs. Tomorrow is a rest day...thank goodness. I've been kicking the scale's tail since about 3 weeks ago. We're on a good pace. I'm off to do a hip hop class in about an hour to start my week off with a bang.
Meanwhile, I am awaiting the return of Meat's tweets today.
I love finding a good buy Caryl, looks like you cleaned up well. The weather here has been continual rain all day today. Only a 15 minute window for a break is all. It is making me sleepy, but I must mush on.
