A truely great film - absolutely bloody brilliant!!!
Meat plays a carckin role - but it's a shame that he dies in the end. Not too sure about the man boobs either...

I liked Meats character "Bob"  and I laugh in an interview where Meat says that while wearing those " boobs" the cast would come by and squeeze them. I understood the plot .. but wasn't to crazy about it as a whole. I suppose it didn't help, that I'm not a Brad Piit or Norton fan either..   J.

I loved Fight Club, but I had to re-watch the last 5 minutes several times before I thought I might understand what had happened.  It's a tough one to get your mind around.  I wear two small "Fight Club" pins on my jacket, and you'd be amazed how many Moms and Dads at my son's private Christian school are Fight Club fans!

Sin, if you are refering to my comment about not liking Pitt or Norton.. I'm serious.. I really don't like either one of them as actors.. and I don't think they're cute either...sorry!   J.

Got the dvd for xmas - uuuummmm!!!!  not sure about it, not really my cuppa tea, but I did like Meat's character BOB.  Shame he had to die

At first my daughter thought the man boobs were real (she got a slap) I explained that they were a prop - she then laughed and said she thought meat had put on weight for the film.

A very powerful, thought provoking and disturbing film imo .. Anyone associated with the film should be proud

I thought Meat's portrayal of Bob was excellent and rightly won him critical acclaim. He brought to life the hurt, abandoned and disempowered character who just longed to belong and feel a man again .. it was so central to the film in terms of understanding the appeal of Fight Club to those who were recruited, and seeing them in terms of life's abused rather than abusers. The scene outside the house when Brad Pitt shouts at him, and he picks up his bedroll and starts to sadly and meekly trudge off in acceptance of his rejection once again was for me heart-stoppingly poignant ..

Such a big guy with such a bruised soul, and played to perfection by someone who had some real understanding of being made to feel on the outside  .. but who himself found an alternative way of maaging it. I love seeing Meat in the parts he is getting now .. where he isn't expected to play Meat Loaf .. and where he can bring the strength and subtlety of his ability as an actor.

Don't get me wrong .. I wouldn't have missed a single golden second of Meat's singing since the early nineties .. but had he at that time cut his hair, walked away from singing and applied his considerable drive to pursuing serious roles in film, I'm sure he would have long since become a major player ..  Such a shame that the industry can't accept, welcome and really use someone who has the skill to pursue two career options ...
