Meat sang this live at the Storytellers show I attended .. he said it was one of the two greatest love songs ever written (and no, he didn't say what he thought the other one was ) .. he sat on a stool and sang it with such passion .. and at the end there was a moments pause just as he described happening at the CBS conference all those years ago .. and then the entire theatre rose to their feet for a standing ovation ..
He may not have sung it live many times since the very early days .. but it's his song .. and no-one else could deliver it with such true emotion .. wonderful ...
